About Innercare WIC

Innercare WIC serves families in the Imperial Valley as part of the California WIC Program, a state program run by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Innercare (formerly Clinicas de Salud del Pueblo) supports WIC here in Imperial County and has helped local families get WIC services for more than 45 years. As the Imperial Valley's trusted healthcare safety net, Innercare is proud to help WIC reach the families who need it.

Who does what

  • California Department of Public Health (CDPH) runs the WIC program statewide. It sets eligibility rules and food packages and issues the California WIC Card.

  • Innercare supports WIC locally, helping Imperial County families with WIC clinics, appointments, and nutrition and breastfeeding support.
